Last week, I decided I wanted to get my friend group out of their comfort zone. As everyone knows, I am a massive foodie, but my FAVORITE thing is when other people cook for me (sorry, not sorry). SOOO, I proposed a food board night. Each of us girlies picked a general food group or food board trend, and gave it our all. Can you guess which one was mine?
Here are the boards that were brought, and the general rating from my friend group:
- Taco Bell Board: this received a 2/10 from the group. I respect the cheaper option, but I’m (surprisingly) not a big taco bell girl. Also, the queso was cold. Criminal.
- Dessert Board: this received a 5/10. This board mostly consisted of fresh fruits, store bought cookies, and homemade brownies, which were super yummy. The overall taste of the board was great, but we need some creativity, people!!!
- Baked Brie Board: this received a 7/10. A classic that’s perfect for dipping and had a delicious creamy/crunchy combo.
- Baked Boursin Board: this received an 8/10. The little pieces of garlic toast were *chef’s kiss* along with that creamy cheese. If I could have this as my everyday snack, I would.
- Charcuterie Board: this received a 9/10. Charcuterie Boards are the ultimate staple of food board night! They can be colorful, creative, and tasty all at once.
- Italian Board: this received a 6/10. Although the little kabobs were delicious and cute, the meatball/marinara combo was lacking a little.
Overall, we had a great time with our little food board adventure, and I can’t wait for the next one! Here are some (sorta bad quality) photos below. I promise I’ll take some better quality pics next time! <3
